The story of Mar Design
Hi, I’m Raquel, founder of Mar Design, a bespoke design studio for property developers and investors.
Over the last three years, we’ve transformed more than 50 homes across the UK using an end-to-end, repeatable method that consistently delivers up to 30% ROI—far exceeding the 20% most investors expect.
As a qualified architect with 20 years of experience in hospitality, gaming, and high-end residential design, I’ve worked on major developments such as the Four Seasons Hotel, Chelsea Barracks, and One Blackfriars, across the UK, UAE, Portugal, and Asia.
This extensive background, combined with an investor’s mindset, enables me to solve the complexities of design and development at the highest level—creating assets that perform, generate profit, and leave a lasting impact for my clients.
My mission is deeply personal. At the age of four, I was forced to leave my home and move countries, leaving me feeling displaced and disconnected. This experience drives my passion to create spaces that people can truly call their own—design-led homes that enrich lives with value and fulfillment.
